California Local History Digital Resources Project (LHDRP)
The California Local History Digital Resources Project (LHDRP) is a multi-year (2000-present) statewide program that provides a
"solution in a box" for public, academic, and specialized libraries seeking to become conversant with developing digital primary
resource collections. Each year, a group of institutions select, scan, and catalogue approximately 200 items for inclusion in the OAC
and Calisphere and publication on local websites.
Over 90 institutions have participated in the LHDRP, and nearly 30,000 digital objects
have been made publicly available and preserved for the long-term.
