Each news segment within a collection serves as a standalone short documentary on a specific news topics such as: History, Business & economics, Health Sciences Law, International Affairs Psychology, Society & Culture, Performing Arts, Women's Studies, African American Studies and Politics.
This ever-expanding collection includes the complete content of Alexander Street’s collections in classical music, jazz, American song, and world music as well as over 150,000 tracks of “popular” music from all the genres that don’t fit into our individual collections. There are five collections: Classical Music, Smithsonian Global Sound, Contemporary World Music American Song and Jazz.
Criterion Collection, an online streaming collection of 300 of Criterion’s most important and influential films.
The collection covers the history of cinema throughout the 20th century, from early silent films like Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush (1925) to releases from contemporary filmmakers like Gus Van Sant and Guillermo del Toro. It includes films from directors such as Bergman, Bunuel, Fellini, Ford, Godard, Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Truffaut and Welles. In addition to feature films, the collection also includes documentaries and popular subgenres such as French New Wave, Italian Neorealism and New German Cinema. Some films include audio commentaries by filmmakers and scholars, restored director’s cuts, deleted scenes, documentaries, shooting scripts, early shorts, and storyboards.
